The 5th edition of the annual Tour of Karamoja 2021 takes place in October 2021. The event aims giving life changing education for the girl child.

Tour of Karamoja 2021

The Tour of Karamoja 2021 is Uganda’s ultimate wilderness bike tradition aimed at positively impacting the image of northeast Uganda and promote tourism for sustainable development. Expect a physical and mental challenge, rich cultural encounters, dramatic scenery and Uganda’s finest wildlife.

The trail

The journey starts on the lower savannah plains in Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve and curls through the woodlands of Kenya’s West Pokot, onto the East African Rift escarpment and finally slopes into the award-winning Kidepo Valley National Park.

Ride 4 Girl Child

The Tour of Karamoja 2021 is raising funds to end the poverty cycle of host communities in the Karamoja sub-region of northeast Uganda. They aim at fundraising for scholarship to bring one class of 20 girls to the first regional vocational institute called Matany Girl’s Vocational School. These girls will be coming from various host communities along the tourist trail: Warrior Nomad Trail. “Educate a girl, change the world!” (UNICEF).
